Meet your clinician

Therapist in Delray Beach

Hi, I’m Maggie. So nice to meet you!

I’m not going to hit you with a boring bio or flex my degrees (you can check those out on my About page).

What actually matters is you.

Something in your life isn’t working anymore. Something in you is tired of shoving it down, laughing it off, or pretending it’s “not that bad.” That pull you feel toward doing this deeper work? I take that seriously.

You don’t have to explain it perfectly.

I’ve sat in my own shit. I’ve walked through grief, overwhelm, and moments where life felt heavy as hell. I have watched people I love barely hang on.

Fuck all, I’ve barely hung on.

I know what it’s like to need someone who doesn’t just nod and say “mmhmm,” but actually shows up.

That’s how I approach therapy.

I work my ass off for you, but I don’t do the work for you. Therapy works best when it’s collaborative. I guide the process, help you slow things down, offer insight, and create space for the hard stuff — but meaningful change requires your participation too.

The real work happens when you show up honestly, communicate openly, and bring your real experiences into the room instead of staying guarded, disconnected, or stuck in autopilot.

In session, I’m present, real, and fully invested. I’ll meet you where you’re at — with honesty, dark humor, swearing when it fits, a well-timed facepalm, and a lot of heart.

Most of all, I bring curiosity and care to help you untangle the heavy, messy stuff so you can actually feel better… not just “hold it together” a little longer.

WHY WORK WITH ME

A different approach (that actually feels human)

Starting therapy can feel awkward, overwhelming, and honestly? It can just suck. I get it.

That’s why I do things differently:

  • I keep it real, engaged, and honest. I don’t blankly stare and nod at you for 55 minutes. I’m a human being in the room with you. I pay attention, ask hard questions, notice patterns, give honest feedback.

  • I’m engaged, not silent. I ask the hard questions, give honest feedback, and offer tools you can actually use — not three weeks from now, but now.

  • This is a space where you can say the things you’ve never said out loud — without performing, sugarcoating, or pretending you’re fine.

  • I go deep, but I don’t leave you hanging. We’ll unpack the real roots — the stuff that’s been running the show — and you’ll leave with practical strategies to help you breathe, cope, and get through your week.

  • This isn’t “talk into the void” therapy. It’s collaborative. It’s active. It’s grounded. It’s about helping you go from barely hanging on to actually living your damn life.

And I’ll be honest (what’s the point in anything else?)….this works best when clients actively participate in the process. You do not need perfect insight or a perfectly organized story, but therapy is not something that gets “done” to you while you sit silently on the sidelines. The magic happens when show up honestly, communicate openly, and explore what’s actually going on beneath the surface.

When surface-level coping isn’t enough

Some people arrive here not just because life feels heavy or exhausting — but because the same patterns keep repeating, the old habits slowly creep back, and there’s still something unresolved beneath the surface. If you’ve tried coping strategies, read the books, listened to the podcasts, and still feel stuck or unsure why things keep circling back despite your best efforts — that’s exactly the kind of work I help with.

This isn’t about quick fixes or Band-Aid solutions.

It’s about understanding the underlying patterns driving your emotions, behaviors, relationships, and nervous-system responses so your life actually starts to feel different from the inside out.

But this kind of work requires more than simply showing up each week. Meaningful therapy takes honesty, reflection, openness, and willingness to look at the things that are uncomfortable, repetitive, avoidant, or keeping you stuck. You do not need perfect insight or a perfectly organized story — but you do need willingness to actively participate in the process rather than expecting the therapist to carry it for you.

IMAGINE SOMETHING DIFFERENT

Imagine not running on caffeine, autopilot, and “holy shit, please don’t let today implode.”

Sayonara to snapping at the people you care about.

No more bracing yourself for another day of bullshit.

Adiós to your stomach dropping every time your phone buzzes.

No more one “quick question” sending your nervous system straight to hell.

Buh-bye to clenching your muscles ALL. DAY. LONG.

And goodbye to feeling like you’re one bullshit request away from completely coming undone.

Imagine ending the day with energy — not crashing on the couch numb, fried, and emotionally tapped out.

Imagine feeling steady. Clear. Like yourself again.

Not perfect.
Just…not drowning.

But getting there requires more than just surviving the week or collecting coping skills. Real change comes from understanding the patterns underneath the overwhelm — the survival responses, emotional habits, relationship dynamics, and nervous-system reactions that have been running the show for years.

That work takes honesty, reflection, and willingness to actively engage in the process. Therapy is not something that gets “done” to you — it’s something we work through together.

The goal is not perfection.
It’s building a life that feels more grounded, connected, and genuinely yours.
